We analysed multiple tours on G Adventures and Intrepid, and found prices on both sites generally fall within the same range, though overall G Adventures came out cheaper.
For example, a 14-day Sydney to Cairns tour costs $4,199 on G Adventures and a comparable 14-day itinerary starts from $4,491 on Intrepid.
We found a greater difference in price on overseas trips however. For example, we found a 9-day Las Vegas to LA via San Francisco tour on G Adventures for $1,549 and a similar one on Intrepid for $2,544.
The verdict: G Adventures is cheaper overall, though the bigger savings lie with worldwide tours.

Cancellation policy: NeitherIntrepid nor G Adventures has a lenient cancellation policy. Both deduct the full cost if cancelled a month prior to the start of the trip.

Both G Adventures and Intrepid offer last-minute deals and loyalty discounts, both of which are similar between the two companies.
On our comparison of deals on both sites, we found both extend the same discounts except in Australia where G Adventures’ deals are better.
For example, at the time of writing, the Sydney to Cairns tour has 10% off on Intrepid while a similar tour is on offer on G Adventures for a 20% discount.
Intrepid also has better early bird discounts, advertising savings of up to $9,400 on 2018/19 Antarctica tours.
The verdict: G Adventures has better deals on last-minute bookings for Australian tours while Intrepid offers better early booking discounts.
