As of 30 April 2020, all G Adventures tours departing before 30 June 2020 have been cancelled. Refunds are not available for cancelled tours. Instead, G Adventures is offering a travel credit valued at 110% of the total price paid for the tour if the final payment has been paid.
If your tour is set to depart after 30 June 2020 and you are yet to remit final payment, you are eligible to cancel the tour you're booked on and hold your Lifetime Deposit as a credit to use for a future tour.
Flights before and after your tour are not included in the price on the G Adventures site. The company does offer to help you book a flight for an additional cost if you need it.
Airfares for any flights taken during your tour is included in the price. You'll know if you're taking a flight during the tour as there will be an airplane and a dotted line on the itinerary map.
To secure a booking, you'll need to pay G Adventures a deposit of $250. You can pay the full-price of the tour upfront, too.
If you choose to only pay a deposit, you'll need to pay the remaining balance a minimum of 60 days prior to departure.
If you've paid a deposit, but haven't paid the remaining balance yet, you can swap to a new tour. The deposits are good for life, so even if you decide to go on a tour a month later or a year later than planned, G Adventures will keep your deposit on its books for whenever you're ready to depart.
G Adventures offers a range of tour styles. If you're booked on a YOLO tour, age restrictions are in place and only people aged 18-39 are allowed to join.
Family friendly tours are available in Africa, the Americas and Asia, which are ideal for bringing along children as young as 5 years old.
For all other tours, there's a minimum age of 12 years old, with travellers between 12 and 18 needing to travel with an adult 18 years or older.
Due to the nature of the business, there are no shipping charges. However, it’s important to understand the prices, surcharges and taxes applicable with these adventures. G Adventures reserves the right to change the published price up to 30 days before the date of departure. For price increments greater than 7%, the tour company allows travellers to cancel the booking without penalties or accept the change and pay the extra amount required.
Sales taxes apply with the tours advertised and the price is usually exclusive of these taxes. The client will be advised accordingly when making a booking.
If you wish to cancel your trip with G Adventures, you must provide the cancellation request in writing. Cancellation fees apply and the fee will vary depending on the trip and in accordance with the terms of the agreement. If cancellation is made 60 days prior to the trip or more, the company shall retain the lifetime deposit. G Adventures will refund the customer the remainder of their payment.
For cancellations made between 59 and 30 days prior, the company shall retain the deposit and an amount that is equal to 50% of the payment and then refund the remainder.
finder.com.au is one of Australia's leading comparison websites. We compare from a wide set of banks, insurers and product issuers. We value our editorial independence and follow editorial guidelines.
finder.com.au has access to track details from the product issuers listed on our sites. Although we provide information on the products offered by a wide range of issuers, we don't cover every available product or service.
Please note that the information published on our site should not be construed as personal advice and does not consider your personal needs and circumstances. While our site will provide you with factual information and general advice to help you make better decisions, it isn't a substitute for professional advice. Products marked as 'Promoted' or 'Advertisement' are prominently displayed either as a result of a commercial advertising arrangement or to highlight a particular product, provider or feature. Finder may receive remuneration from the Provider if you click on the related link, purchase or enquire about the product. Finder's decision to show a 'promoted' product is neither a recommendation that the product is appropriate for you nor an indication that the product is the best in its category. We encourage you to use the tools and information we provide to compare your options.
Where our site links to particular products or displays 'Go to site' buttons, we may receive a commission, referral fee or payment when you click on those buttons or apply for a product. You can learn more about how we make money here.
When products are grouped in a table or list, the order in which they are initially sorted may be influenced by a range of factors including price, fees and discounts; commercial partnerships; product features; and brand popularity. We provide tools so you can sort and filter these lists to highlight features that matter to you.
We try to take an open and transparent approach and provide a broad-based comparison service. However, you should be aware that while we are an independently owned service, our comparison service does not include all providers or all products available in the market.
Some product issuers may provide products or offer services through multiple brands, associated companies or different labelling arrangements. This can make it difficult for consumers to compare alternatives or identify the companies behind the products. However, we aim to provide information to enable consumers to understand these issues.
Providing or obtaining an estimated insurance quote through us does not guarantee you can get the insurance. Acceptance by insurance companies is based on things like occupation, health and lifestyle. By providing you with the ability to apply for a credit card or loan, we are not guaranteeing that your application will be approved. Your application for credit products is subject to the Provider's terms and conditions as well as their application and lending criteria.
