Google Goggles takes intuitiveness one step further and crawls through Google to identify exactly what you’ve snapped. It works for more than just famous locations too – you can find information on famous paintings, landmarks, barcodes, popular images and even barcodes (for shopping products you can’t identify).

Another great app that works much the same way as Google Goggles is WikiTude. It’s a useful tool to comprehend and negotiate your surroundings, and is pretty damn fun as it uses augmented reality to achieve this.

Uing your phone’s camera, it processes images of objects like street signs, logos and merchandise and overlays them with speech bubbles or video commentary.
