FromSoftware teases new project at The Game Awards

Could this torturous trailer be teasing Bloodborne 2?

The Game Awards are in full swing and while the focus of the show is paying tribute to this year's most wonderful video game experiences, there's also been no shortage of fresh game announces and teases. Campo Santo revealed its follow-up to Firewatch, Valley of the Gods with a lengthy trailer while Nintendo straight-up dropped The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's story DLC Champions' Ballad. However, one delightfully terrifying tease came from the developers behind the Dark Souls and Bloodborne, FromSoftware.

In this painfully short teaser, we see what looks like a bone and muscle being twisted in some kind of torture device, followed by the words "Shadows Die Twice". Whether that's a working title or tagline for the game is anyone's guess.

However, many are expectedly hoping this is a tease for a sequel to 2015's gothic-horror Bloodborne. The font in trailer closely matches what's used in Bloodborne and the line "Shadows Die Twice" could be hinting towards a sequel.

That's all we know so far but we'll have our ear to the ground for more updates.
