These are the very few products that have actually succeeded in fighting my frizz.
When I was a kid I had perfectly straight, silky hair. Then puberty hit and with it came the frizz. My hair can look quite pretty with delicate curls and rolling waves. But sometimes it feels like almost anything will turn it into a giant frizz-ball. Washing it. Rain. Wind. Heat. Cold. Anything!
And I know there are plenty of other people out there in the exact same frustrating boat. As a beauty writer I’ve had the chance to sample more products than most so I’m going to share the ones that have worked for me. The list is pretty short but at least most of these products are affordable. Here are some of the products that I’ve used that have managed to tame my frizz.
Matrix Biolage ExquisiteOil Protective Treatment
This product does a great job of holding down fly-aways. I use it when I've straightened my hair but it's looking a little too fluffy.
Schwarzkopf Extra Care 6 Miracles Oil Essence
I use this while my hair is still damp. It helps my curls form correctly and leaves my hair looking shiny.
Marc Daniels Go Curly
This cheap supermarket product is my go-to. I buy the entire carton of 12 on the shelf whenever I see it because I'm worried they'll discontinue it.
Eleven Sea Salt Texture Spray
Sea salt sprays normally do more harm than good to my hair. But not this one. Plus, it smells amazing.
Tigi Bed Head After Party
This is the first product I used that worked. It even works when there's wind and rain.
Uppercut Deluxe Pomade
Okay, technically this is for men but don't let that put you off. I take a tiny bit of product, mix it with water and pat it over my hair. Bye bye frizz.
This is an overnight treatment that almost gives a keratin style effect once washed out.
Kardashian Beauty Twirl Me Curl Defining Cream
I was so skeptical about this one but it really does do everything it promises on the bottle.
