The Friends-inspired fashion trends you can wear while you sob watching the reunion.

The Friends reunion is right around the corner, and as a result, I've been rewatching my favourite episodes like a bat out of hell.

It's no secret that Monica, Phoebe and Rachel inspired some of the biggest fashion trends back in the day, but as trends tend to do, many are back in fashion and better than ever.

So, regardless of whether your job's a joke, you're broke or your love life's DOA, here are some of the most iconic looks from Friends and the trends you can wear today.

1. Knee-high boots

Knee-high boots are easily one of the biggest 2022 trends this season. Consider them the perfect addition to your winter wardrobe.

2. Oversized sweaters

Oversized knit sweaters are on the up and we suggest stocking up. They're very easy to dress up or down depending on the occasion. Plus, they're the perfect uniform to sob in while watching the reunion.

3. Buttoned shirt

A buttoned shirt and mom jeans is the ultimate combo and I won't hear any other opinion on it. It's a timeless look that will never go out of fashion otherwise I will turn over in my grave.

4. Fur-trim jacket

Similar to knee-high boots, this 00s trend is taking off for the A/W season. Inspired by Phoebe (an underrated style icon in my opinion), this trend is definitely one we're going to see big in street style.

5. Turtleneck tank

Simple yet sophisticated, the turtleneck tank has become a must-have basic in the last few months and I'm here for it. It's another item that you can style with jeans or dress up with a skirt for an effortlessly chic look – which is pretty on par for Rachel Green.

6. Graphic sweater

I will be buried in a graphic sweater. There is no outfit or event where chucking on an oversized jumper doesn't look cute. Plus this look from Monica is from the episode where they play football in the park, which is so iconic I simply couldn't not include it.

7. Corsets

I've said it already but I'll say it again. Phoebe was an underrated style icon in Friends.

This corset look will forever be ingrained in my brain and given the boom of this trend in 2022, I'm not the only one.

8. Check print

Check print was a Rachel go-to across a number of fashion fits from pants, skirts, tops and jackets. This trend is no different in 2022 with the pattern plastered across a range of clothing items to style to your heart's content.
