Beauty Product Of The Week: Frank Body Smoothing AHA Body Lotion
"This is not only a review but a formal request to be buried with this moisturiser so I may take it with me to the afterlife."
For years I have searched far and wide for the ultimate moisturiser. On my journey I've definitely found some great options like the Bangn Body Firming Lotion for example... but alas, the reigning champion was yet to be found.
Allow me to introduce to you the Frank Body Smoothing AHA Body Lotion. This is not only a review but a formal request to be buried with this moisturiser so I may take it with me to the afterlife.
I suffer with dry skin but I also have super-sensitive skin and eczema, which if you have it, you know is not a fun time. However, this $19.95 (YES, IT'S LESS THAN $20) product literally treats all my body skin concerns. So let's break it down.
About the product
The Frank Body Smoothing AHA Body Lotion is a moisturiser and liquid exfoliator for your body all in one. The active ingredients within this moisturiser increase cell turnover, meaning it will gobble up dead skin, help clear body breakouts and hydrate at the same time.
Chemical exfoliants were previously reserved for your face serums but why should your body miss out?
This lotion also contains hydrating oils and deeply nourishing mango seed butter to create a soft, lightweight moisturiser that leaves your skin hydrated and smoother than a baby's bum.

As mentioned above, my skin can be a real asshole. I'm prone to ingrown hairs after shaving, itchy skin from eczema breakouts and genetically have dry skin. I won the trifecta.
I applied this lotion before bed and instantly felt the fun tingle that told me the chemical exfoliants within this product were going to work. It wasn't painful and didn't sting, just a light tingling sensation.
When I woke up in the morning it genuinely felt like I had new skin. I know that sounds gross and like something out of Silence of the Lambs but I couldn't believe how smooth and not itchy my skin was, especially my legs.

It has a milky consistency and a small amount definitely goes a long way. I've been trialling this product for 2 months, using it a few times a week and have barely made a dent in it.
One small note – with all chemical exfoliants, you need to use an SPF to ensure you don't get any sun damage. Make sure you're applying sunscreen all over your body and not just your face.
The final verdict
I'm not sure if you can tell by this point but I'm mentally, physically and emotionally obsessed with this product. It's a game-changer within the body skincare industry and more people need to get on top of it.
For $20 it's literally SO affordable for such high-quality ingredients and does exactly what it says it will. Frank Body is also cruelty free, vegan and Australian made so tick, tick and tick.
