Beauty product of the week: Frank Body Shimmer Scrub
Because your summer skin deserves to be shimmery and smooth.
Why we love this product
I have ridiculously sensitive skin that is very particular about what it likes, so I'm always really careful about scrubs and polishes – one too many bad experiences with raw skin makes it hard to be easy-breezy anymore. Skeptics can rest assured though because the limited edition Frank Body Shimmer Scrub has literally changed my skin game.Frank Body scrubs have been super popular for a while now, with the famous coffee scrub taking Instagram by storm. At one point you couldn't scroll through your feed without seeing someone covered in coffee, brandishing the packet like the holy grail. With so much hype, I had high expectations when it came to testing out the recently re-released Shimmer Scrub.
With its brand new Frank Body packaging, the scrub is still largely the original formula of coffee and sugar (with a glorious smell that will definitely help wake you up in the morning) mixed with gold and silver mica that will have your skin glistening all day long. The brand promises "a glow that's out of this world" and you know what? It's pretty close.
When I first started using this product I was a bit concerned that the shimmer would turn me into a Twilight-esque vampire thanks to my super pale skin, but in reality the effect is just bold enough to catch your eye in the light (something I'll admit I've been doing a lot this week because my skin looks so glowy).
If you're after something more high voltage and want to build your glow for the weekend, you can up the ante with the Frank Magic Shimmer Oil and Illuminator as well, but for everyday purposes, the scrub has your back.
It's vegan-friendly and comes in a resealable bag, so really what more could you ask for?
The Shimmer Scrub retails at 19.95, and at 200g per bag, you can definitely stretch the use out and make sure you're getting your money's worth. A little goes a long way, so it's pretty good for longevity.
