For a very limited time, you can get 3 months of free broadband on Foxtel and some big TV savings.

This is the time on the calendar when end of financial year sales are flying all over the place. Foxtel is jumping on board with a premium offer with one of its bundles.

If you purchase the Foxtel NBN broadband and Premium TV bundle on a 12-month plan before 30 June 2021, you will receive 3 months of free broadband. Usually $65 a month, the price that your broadband reverts to after the free period, you are saving $195 right there.

With that you get unlimited data, no set-up costs and a Google Nest Hub (Gen 2) worth $149 thrown in as part of the offer.

There are actually 2 bundle options, Foxtel Premium or Foxtel Platinum Plus, and both have the 3-months free deal plus heavily discounted Foxtel.

Foxtel has held a reputation as the home of premium television in Australia for some time now. So as you would expect, the premium packages come with just about all the bells and whistles.

The Foxtel Premium option has 4K Ultra High Definition capability, 2 simultaneous streams, the latest Foxtel iQ 4 set-top box and the ability to watch content offline. You get all the sports and movie channels and full entertainment options for the kids on top of the usual base Foxtel pack.

Sports, movies, NBN and 4K UHD in one place: Get cheap Premium Foxtel + NBN

The Foxtel Premium Pack is usually $114 per month alone. As part of the EOFY sale it will only cost $79 a month for the full 12-month contract which equates to a saving of $420 annually. Throw in the free broadband and it's a total of $615 you are saving all up plus the Google Nest.

Foxtel Platinum Plus has all of that plus an additional 11 channels as part of the Favourites pack, Multiroom casting (have another Foxtel set-top box in another room) and a Netflix Standard plan included. The Foxtel Platinum Plus pack with Netflix alone is usually $139 per month. But that option is just $99 a month for the year.

So this deal is saving you $40 per month on Foxtel TV alone. When you calculate that over the 12 months, you're saving $480 on your Foxtel set-up. Accounting for your NBN, that saving jumps to $675.

Is it worth it?

If you really love HBO, sports, movies and 4K UHD you're actually already saving money on your TV set-up with this sale (on the Premium option only). Bundling those alone on Foxtel usually costs $94 per month on a no lock-in contract.

While for the Platinum Plus pack, when you consider that essentially for an additional $5 per month you're also now getting Netflix, an additional set-top box and extra channel packs. That's pretty good value.

Foxtel customers automatically receive the Foxtel Go app, a streaming option that delivers all the channels you have on Foxtel to your chosen device wherever you are.

Blockbuster movies, the very latest TV series to stream and some of the biggest sporting events in the world will all be at your fingertips if you take up this offer.
