With the rewards program for existing customers to got the new IQ set top box, what can I get from it without having the internet which I don’t get now from my old box?

      Hi Lorraine,

Thanks for your inquiry. Please note that we are not affiliated with Foxtel or any company we feature on our site and so we can only offer you general advice.

Foxtel iQ refers to the cable box you will need in order to receive the service. This allows you not only to access the cable service but record programs at the same time to be viewed at a later date. You can also pause, play and rewind live television. There are two different versions currently available: the iQ2 and iQ3. For a comprehensive run-down on the differences, you can go to this page.

In order to enjoy all of the features of Foxtel your TV box should be connected to the Internet. It will run without it but your available video library for pay-per-view will not be as extensive.

      Cheers,
      Rench

      Hi G Davies,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Please note that we are not affiliated with any company we feature on our site and so we can only offer a general advice.

I understand that you want to remove sports channels from your Foxtel package. You will need to contact Foxtel directly to get this organised. Their support number is 131999. Please be informed that you cannot remove individual channels, but you can remove channel packages.

We also suggest going to Foxtel official site to get more information about this.

      Hope this information helped.

      Cheers,
      Rench

    Hi,

Is there any facility within the Foxtel Play package that allows me to record live TV?

      Hi Guna,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

In order to watch Foxtel’s pay TV service, you’re going to need a Foxtel personal video recorder. Depending on your package or budget, that means either the Foxtel iQ2 or Foxtel iQ3 recorder.

The Foxtel iQ2, formerly known as the iQHD, is an HD box capable of recording up to 30 hours of HD content, with live TV pausing and three tuners so you can record two channels while watching a third.

Meanwhile, the iQ3 is the current premium offering from Foxtel, with three times the recording space of the iQ2, plus intelligent suggestions based on your viewing habits, the ability to return to the start of a program with a single button press and the ability to record three channels while watching a fourth.

      Hope this information helped.

      Hi Gail,

      Thanks for your question.

Kindly note that you can register up to three devices on a single Foxtel Play account (but only one Xbox One). You can then watch content on any two devices at the same time. You can change the registered devices up to once a month.

If you like to check the available Foxtel plans, you can visit this page.

      Cheers,

Since I retired I am traveling for several months a year. Can I suspend my Foxtel for this time? What are the rules, if this is allowable?

    • Staff
      AnndyOctober 5, 2016Staff

      Hi Peter,

      Thanks for your question.

I’ve just confirmed with Foxtel and they do offer the option to suspend your account for $5 per month instead of your monthly fee, however, they can only offer this once every 12 months and for a maximum of 3 months. Alternatively you may wish to disconnect your Foxtel (and return your Foxtel equipment) and then reconnect when you return. But there are sign up fees that may be applicable.

      Cheers,
      Anndy

Unfortunately, Foxtel no longer gives discounts to seniors card holders.

You can check this page from time to time so you’ll be able to get updates if there are any Foxtel Australia deals you can take advantage of.

Can I receive Foxtel at a different address? The only channel I want is Animal Planet but I have just moved interstate.

      Hi Diane,

      Thanks for your question.

You can get your Foxtel account transferred to your new address, though this may incur a fee.

To make this change you will need to contact Foxtel direct to first see what TV and Broadband services are available at the new address. Then, if you’re happy with your options you can continue the process to transfer your subscription over.

Your can contact Foxtel for more information on this here.

      I hope that helps!

      Stephanie
