Who flies to Thredbo? Qantas, Virgin Australia, Tigerair and Fly Pelican all offer domestic flights to Canberra Airport, and Regional Express Airlines to Cooma Airport.

What are the closest airports to Thredbo? Snowy Mountains Airport in Cooma is a regional airport that serves the Snowy Mountains region. Regional Express flies into this airport from many regional cities including Lismore, Bathurst, Dubbo, Newcastle and Wagga Wagga. Sydney is the only capital city with flights direct to Snowy Mountains Airport. If you’re flying in from another city, Canberra Airport is 2.5 hours from Thredbo and offers ground transportation to the Snowy Mountains snow resorts. It serves flights from around Australia on budget and all-inclusive carriers.

What airport transfer options are available to Thredbo? There are three shuttle bus options from Cooma Airport. Canberra Airport is a 2.5 hour drive from Thredbo and has car rentals services at the airport. There also a number of shuttle bus companies that provide transfers direct from Canberra Airport to Thredbo. Uber is available from Canberra Airport and costs over $350 or book a transfer in advance with Jayride.

  • What airport transfer options are available to Perisher? The Snowy Mountains Airport Link is the official snow shuttle connecting the airport to major snow resorts. To get to Perisher you’ll need to transfer at the Skitube Perisher Station just outside Perisher Village. Snow Alliance offers private transfers between Snowy Mountains Airport and Perisher. From Canberra Airport, Snoexpress and Snow Connect offer transfers to Perisher.
  • What airport transfer options are available to Charlotte Pass? The Snowy Mountains Airport Link has transfers to the Perisher Valley Skitube terminal. From here you can connect to an oversnow transport service Charlotte Pass. Snow Connect also provides transfers to Charlotte Pass from Canberra via Perisher.
