Flights to Greece from $859 return
Travel full-service to Athens for less than the cost of flying budget.
The 3-star, full-service airline has flights to Athens from Melbourne down to $859 return and from Sydney or Brisbane as cheap as $879 return.
You'll have to book through STA Travel online to snag these prices. When you do, you stand to pay less than flying budget as STA is also advertising flights from Perth-Athens from $449 each way, or $998 return.
Why would you even bother?
While travel isn't available during peak summer season, it is during shoulder season which is just as pleasant weather-wise and doesn't attract as much of a crowd so the beaches are all yours. Specifically, travel dates are from now until 20 June 2018.
Bookings must be made by 30 April 2018. Hit up STA Travel now for full details and to secure your cheap seat to the Mediterranean.
How good are these fares?
While these aren't the cheapest flights we've seen to Athens, those going to Scoot at $597 return during low season, the benefits of shelling out an extra $262 are immense. First, there's the more desirable travel dates, which see the weather heat up and some of the resorts start to open up again.
Then, there's the in-flight service. Being a long-haul flight, having in-flight meals and entertainment as well as checked baggage included in your fare both ways already makes up for the extra cost.
Lastly, flights include a stopover in China where you have the opportunity to extend your trip using our 72-hour free transit-visa and explore another city while breaking up your trip.
