Flight sale: Tigerair 2-for-1 domestic fares are back

Tigerair is at it again. After months of new route and public holiday sales, the budget airline has brought back its 2-for-1 fares, giving travellers the chance to travel on 24 routes across the nation at 50% off.
The flights go on sale from midday today (6 June 2017) and boast over 19,000 sale seats, with prices starting from $59 each way for two (or $29.50 per person) on the Gold Coast-Sydney and Melbourne-Hobart routes.
Other discounted tickets include: Melbourne-Sydney for $79 (or $39.50 per person) and Brisbane-Perth from $189 (or $94.50 per person).
These prices can only be booked when travelling in groups of two, with a maximum of eight travellers, and are valid for travel between 10 October and 14 December.
School and public holidays have been blacked out. Weekends are still included though are likely to be pricier than flying mid-week.
With tickets on sale from $59, this sale is practically a mirror image of Tigerair's last 2-for-1 deal in December 2016 which also kicked things off with $59 on its Hobart-Melbourne and Sydney-Gold Coast routes and capped its fares at $189 with its Perth-Sydney flights.
The only differences are an increase in seats on most routes and the the introduction of three new routes to the sale: Brisbane-Whitsundays, Brisbane-Canberra and Brisbane-Darwin, two of which were launched just this year.
These prices are for economy light fares and do not include checked baggage, in-flight entertainment and on-board meals. These can be added during the booking process for an additional fee.
The Tigerair 2-for-1 sale launches at midday AEST today and ends midday Saturday 10 June 2017 unless sold out prior.
