Jetstar has released a short 8-hour sale with fares you won't want to miss.
No, really.
Flights start at a low $35 each way. This is for 3 heavily popular routes: Sydney–Melbourne, Sydney–Byron Bay and Melbourne–Launceston.
Other fares worth snapping up are:
- Melbourne–Hobart from $40 each way
- Adelaide–Melbourne from $45 each way
- Sydney–Sunshine Coast from $50 each way
- Brisbane–Sydney from $50 each way
- Melbourne–Uluru from $80 each way
- Adelaide–Brisbane from $90 each way
- Melbourne–Busselton Margaret River from $115 each way

How good is this Jetstar sale?
A starting fare of around $30 is our benchmark for a great deal with Jetstar, making this one of the best we've seen for quite some time.
Not only are a few routes down this low, but they're popular itineraries too.
This isn't the only Australia-wide sale going on at the moment. In tandem, Qantas has released its own sale with domestic flights from $99.
Price-wise, Jetstar wins this round. However, if you're looking to earn precious Qantas Points or need checked luggage, an in-flight snack and access to free on-board Wi-Fi, Qantas could be a better ticket.
Virgin Australia doesn't have a sale running at the moment.
However, to give you an idea of cost, flights between Sydney and Ballina Byron are available from $56 each way in early February.
These Jetstar Japan flights at a glance

- Great travel time: All flights in this sale are direct.
- Good weather: Catch the tail-end of the Aussie summer in February or fall for the cool autumn breeze in March. Most destinations are quite pleasant in both months, though you may wish to steer clear of Darwin as it's the wet season from November to April.
