In two sentences or less, describe your product or service.

Quite simply, we provide Australian SMEs with access to a range of financing solutions to help them grow. This includes working capital loans, trade finance, equipment finance and secured loans.

What has been the company's biggest milestone to date?

It is hard to choose. It has been a busy three years that has seen us add some big name partnerships, win several awards, raise significant debt and equity capital and build a world class team. At the end of the day though, our business is about helping customers, so crossing over a $100m of funded loans to Australian SMEs earlier in 2017 is the milestone that sticks in my mind.

What’s your most useful advice for having a productive day?

There's a view that productivity is about having a "to-do" list and ticking through it as quickly as possible, but I find that this approach often results in suboptimal outcomes. I'm a big believer in looking at an issue or a problem from multiple angles before coming to a decision. It sounds counter-intuitive because it takes longer, but it almost always results in higher quality decisions and ultimately that's what drives productivity.

Where do you see the company in 12 months?

Faster, stronger and bigger. We have lots planned for the next 12 months – watch this space!

Which book has had the most influence on your professional mindset?

Tough to narrow it down to just one, but out of the recent books I have read I've taken a lot away from the following:

Principles by Ray Dalio

Shoe Dog by Phil Knight, and

The Hard Thing About Hard Things by Ben Horowitz
