In two sentences or less, describe your product or service.

Airwallex is a cross-border payment platform designed to help businesses make payments at scale. Our technology analyses each transaction and determines the fastest, most cost-effective route for delivering payments to their recipients.

What has been the company's biggest milestone to date?

One of our biggest milestones was closing our Series A funding round a few weeks back, with investors Tencent (the 4th largest internet company in the world), Sequoia Capital China, Gobi Partners and Mastercard. We raised $17 million and it was amazing recognition of the company’s achievements thus far.

What’s your most useful advice for having a productive day?

Don’t lose focus of your goals. I believe in cutting to the chase: time is a limited resource and given that there are countless competing demands at any given point, I make sure every second counts.

Where do you see the company in 12 months?

We have ambitious targets for the next year, and we’re now starting an exciting phase as we begin to bring our main API based product offering to market with some major global clients. We’re also growing exponentially, opening offices in the UK and finalising the application for a Singapore license.

Which book has had the most influence on your professional mindset?

I’m a strong believer in my team, and I found Reid Hoffman's The Alliance to be a really useful guide on how valuable it is to build trust, be transparent and have faith in the people who work for you.
