My Frequent Flyer Little Bucket List
Why I'm spending 2020 conquering some smaller frequent flyer mountains.
THE LITTLE BUCKET LIST
Goals are crucial for every frequent flyer points collector. Usually, they're big and hairy and audacious, like "I want to book a round-the-world Classic Flight Reward in first class" or "I want to try the Emirates A380 shower".
But saving up points for those big goals takes time, so it's nice to knock off some smaller goals too. And that's the thinking behind my latest project: The Frequent Flyer Little Bucket List. Throughout 2020, I'm going to be trying out smaller frequent flyer goals, ones that don't require a huge glut of points to achieve.
So a Frequent Flyer Little Bucket List goal might be taking a flight to Port Moresby using points, since that's the only international flight that QantasLink runs and it only requires 8,000 points. It might be flying to Christchurch on Emirates with all my luggage stuffed in my jacket. I've done both of those already, but there's plenty more to consider.
First up: taking a Jetstar domestic flight but getting to use the Qantas First lounge. I'll be sharing that one tomorrow (20 February). Keep checking back as more challenges get ticked off. And if you have a suggestion for something I should try, ping me on Twitter.
