Daily services have kicked off, offering more reward seat options.
Emirates this week kicked off its first services offering Premium Economy on flights between Sydney and Dubai.
There are 56 Premium Economy seats available on Emirates' Sydney-Dubai services EK412 and EK413. Emirates said that demand for the service has been high. Customers get a dedicated check-in area, extra legroom and meals with "elements inspired by Business Class".
For frequent flyers, the new route means more choices for Premium Economy options, which are often hard to score as reward seats.
It's particularly appealing for Qantas frequent flyers, who otherwise have had to deal with limited availability across Qantas and British Airways. (Fellow oneworld airline Finnair also added Premium Economy this year.)
A one-way Premium Economy seat from Sydney to Dubai requires 124,800 Qantas Points for a Classic Reward (with around $1,039 in carrier charges). Availability still looks pretty tight, but every extra seat helps!
