finder Rewards Roundup: Velocity, Qantas and flybuys
Earn up to 1 million bonus Velocity Points, win your Qantas Points back and pick up flybuys on your electricity bill before the new year with this week’s Rewards Roundup.
Christmas is fast approaching and Australia’s major loyalty programs are all offering ways to boost your points this silly season. You can look forward earning bonus points when buying Christmas gifts at the Velocity store, booking your next taxi through ingogo, the chance to win back your Qantas Points and an opportunity to earn 10,000 bonus flybuys on your utility bills with this week’s Rewards Roundup from finder.
Score up to 1 million Velocity Points and earn double points with Velocity partners before Christmas
Velocity is offering plenty of ways to inflate your frequent flyer balance this month. When you shop with a select list of Velocity’s retail partners this Christmas via the Velocity eStore, you can double the earn rate you’ll earn on your purchases. So rather than earning 4 points per $1 spent at The Iconic, Apple, Booktopia, iTunes, Priceline or Microsoft (just to name a few), you’ll collect 8 points for every dollar. Available until 21 December 2016 and just in time for your Christmas shopping, you can browse the full list of partnered retailers on the Velocity website.
If you spend at least $100 at the Velocity eStore before 11.59pm on 21 December, you’ll automatically be in the running to win 1 million Velocity Points. Multiple entries are permitted, but you’ll only receive one entry per transaction, regardless of whether you spend more than $100. The winner will be drawn on 4 January 2017 and the winner will receive their 1 million Velocity Points, worth $39,893.62, within two weeks of accepting the prize.
So, it looks like you could give yourself the gift of bonus points by ticking off your Christmas list at the Velocity eStore this year.
Earn 250 Qantas Points per trip with ingogo
Book your next taxi with ingogo and you could earn up to 750 Qantas Points. To get started, login or download the ingogo app. If you haven’t already, you’ll need to link your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership details to your ingogo account and then you can earn Qantas Points for all of the future taxi trips you book through ingogo.
Qantas’ latest promotion gives you even more incentive to line up your next taxi with the app. Until 31 March 2017, you’ll earn 250 Qantas Points for each of your first three trips, giving your account a boost of 750 points. Once you’ve made your three trips, you’ll continue to earn 1 point per $1 spent on all eligible taxi travel booked using the ingogo app.
Win your Qantas Points back this Christmas
If you want to save some money this Christmas, you could use your Qantas Points to cross off your loved ones’ wish lists at the Qantas Store. Not only will this free up some of your cash, but you’ll also have the chance to win your points back! To enter, you just need to redeem your points at the Qantas Store between 1 November and 19 December. Then, Qantas will announce 100 lucky winners every week for seven weeks. The more you shop, the higher your chances and the more points you could earn back. Week one has already been announced, but there are still 600 winners to be announced over the next 6 weeks. You can see the full list of winners each week on the Qantas website.
There are plenty of ways to redeem your Qantas Points, so whether you’re shopping for a tech-head, fitness fanatic, fashion and beauty junkie or regular jet setter, you won’t be strapped for choice when picking out the perfect gift.
