finder Rewards Roundup: Velocity, Qantas and Amex

Sally McMullen 28 July 2017 NEWS

Competitions and bonus points offers from your favourite frequent flyer programs.

This week's Rewards Roundup is packed with offers to help you get more from your loyalty program. You can score a pair of limited edition Bose headphones, nab 1,000 bonus Velocity Points on your next wine order and collect 100,000 bonus Qantas Points with the Qantas American Express Ultimate credit card. Happy points hunting!

Win a pair of Bose headphones from Velocity

Want a free pair of limited edition Bose QC 35 wireless, noise-cancelling headphones? If you use your Velocity Points to redeem products from the Rewards Store, you’ll automatically go into the draw to win one of five pairs!

Most purchases will get you one entry, but redeeming your points for Bose products will score you five entries. You can enter as many times as you like before midnight 7 August 2017 and winners will be notified on 17 August 2017.

There are only 500 of these limited edition Bose headphones in existence and you could be lucky enough to snag a pair for free. So get shoppin’!

Buy 12 bottles of wine and get 1,000 bonus points

As it’s Friday, we’re sure you don’t need much more of an incentive to splurge on wine this weekend. But Virgin Wine’s latest offer could help sweeten the deal even further. You’ll receive 12 handcrafted wines, a bottle of Moet Champagne plus 1,000 bonus Velocity Points. This is on top of the standard 3 Velocity Points per dollar spent you can expect on all eligible orders through Virgin Wines. At the discounted price of $150, this means you’ll score 1,450 Velocity Points on your order.

Last chance to earn 100,000 bonus Qantas Points with Amex

Calling all Qantas Points chasers: You have less than a week to snap up the Qantas American Express Ultimate credit card offer and score 100,000 bonus Qantas Points. That’s enough points to get you a return economy flight from Sydney to Los Angeles!

This offer is only available to new applicants who apply via affiliate sites like finder by 31 July 2017 and spend $1,500 in the first three months. So, if you were to apply through the American Express site, you’d only receive the current offer of 55,000 bonus points when you meet the same spend requirement.

The rewards don’t stop there either. You’ll also earn 1.5 Qantas Points per dollar spent on eligible purchases, 0.5 Qantas Points per dollar spent on government transactions and 2.5 Qantas Points per dollar spent on purchases made with Qantas.

Other perks include complimentary travel insurance, two entries to the American Express Lounge at Sydney International Airport each year and a complimentary domestic return economy flight ticket from Qantas.

The card has a $450 annual fee and a purchase rate of 20.47% p.a., so you should make sure the rewards outweigh the fees before you apply.

finder Rewards Roundup lists and compares the best* credit card, airline and frequent flyer reward offers of the week. Check back every Friday for the latest reward deals and to find out how you can get more out of your points each week.

      Hi Paul,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

The information in this post is still being used by qualified applicants up until October 2017. That is the reason why it has not been taken down yet.

      Hope this information helped.
