A roundup of the latest reward perks from two of Australia's favourite airline loyalty programs.

This week's rewards roundup is packed with bonus point offers and discounts from Qantas and Velocity Frequent Flyer. Find out how you can reward yourself with Velocity Points after your next gym session, plus earn more Status Credits and redeem more rewards for less with Qantas.

Earn Velocity Points for staying active

Do you need some motivation to stay active this winter? Velocity’s new partnership with Virgin Active could be just the drive you need to hit the gym. If you're not already a member of Virgin Active, if you sign up you'll receive 10,000 Velocity Points if you visit a club three times a week for the first 12 weeks. If you are already a member of Virgin Active, you'll earn 250 Velocity Points if you visit the gym 12 or more times in a calendar month.

Finally, Virgin Active members who aren't Velocity frequent flyers will receive 500 Velocity Points if they join by 30 September 2017 and complete an earn transaction by 30 November 2017.

Get 50% more Status Credits on Qantas flights

Qantas is giving its frequent flyers one more reason to book their next getaway this week. If you book a Qantas flight for travel until 31 October 2017, you’ll be rewarded with 50% more Status Credits! Exactly how many Status Credits you could earn will depend on your flight. For example, a flight to London would usually reward you with 140 Status Credits but you’ll receive 210 Status Credits while the promotion is in place.

Qantas currently offers four Status Credit tiers: Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum One. The higher you ascend, the better the extras. Some of the benefits you can expect from Status Credit tiers include airport lounge access, higher earn rates, preferred seating and priority check-in. This promotion could help you enjoy some of these perks even faster.

The offer is only available until 9 July (this Sunday), so get bookin’!

Redeem more for less during the Qantas Store super sale

Qantas is kicking off the new financial year with a super sale at the Qantas Store. With up to 50% off, frequent flyers can redeem more rewards for fewer points this month. For example, a Samsung Galaxy tablet would ordinarily cost 36,390 Qantas Points, but you can redeem it for 35,080 points. You can also pick up a GHD V Gold Classic Styler for 39,400 points (rather than 49,260 points).

Browse the Qantas Store for sales on everything from electronics and travel to homewares, fashion and beauty.
