Book your next holiday for less while boosting your reward points this weekend.

Travelling season is upon us and some of Australia's favourite reward programs are giving travellers even more motivation to book their next trip. In this week's Rewards Roundup, you can earn twice as many Qantas Points on accommodation in Europe and up to 20,000 bonus Velocity Points on your next cruise. You can also save on travel costs with 15% off flights with Qatar Airways and up to 50% off hotel bookings around the world with AccorHotels. Discover the discounts and bonus points deals below.

Double your points in Europe with Qantas

Do you have a European getaway on your 2017 bucket list? Qantas is giving you more reason to cross it off your list with this week’s deal. If you book your accommodation through the Qantas website, you’ll pick up 6 Qantas Points per AUD$1 spent until 15 January 2017. This is double the number of points you’d regularly earn on accommodation with Qantas! To ensure you collect the extra Qantas Points, just make sure to quote your membership number at the time of booking. If you’d prefer to Airbnb it, you can still look forward to earning the regular 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent while the promotion is in place and beyond.

Book a cruise and sail away with up to 20,000 bonus Velocity Points

If you’ve got your sights set on a holiday at sea, you could give your points balance a boost in the process with Velocity’s latest offer. In a promotion with Cruisepilot, eligible cruise bookings made by 31 January 2017 will get you up to 20,000 Velocity Points. Cruises in Europe, Asia and the South Pacific will get you the maximum bonus points. Otherwise, if you take a cruise in Australia, the South Pacific, Hawaii or Alaska, you’ll earn up to 10,000 bonus points. Not bad!

The bonus points offer means that you could be gearing yourself for your next holiday before you’ve even stepped on the cruise. 20,000 Velocity Points could take you from Sydney to Auckland (17,800 points), Sydney to Fiji (17,800 points) and Brisbane to Melbourne (11,800 points) with points to spare.

All you need to do is book your Cruisepilot getaway online and quote your Velocity membership number at the time of the booking to score the points.

Get 15% off flights with Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways has got 2017 off to a flying start with the Qatar Airways Travel Festival. In addition to sale airfares, you’ll also enjoy further discounts and bonus points if you book your flight with Qatar Airways this week. Purchase your plane ticket by 16 January 2017 using your Visa card and you’ll save on Economy and Business fares for all travel between 11 January and 15 December 2017. If you belong to the Qatar Airways Privilege Club, you’ll also earn double points on all flights booked during the Travel Festival period. Plus, you can enjoy discounts of up to 10% when booking accommodation with AccorHotels. You’ll also pick up a 10% discount if you book car rental through the Qatar Airways website and use the promo code FESTIVAL2017.

With only a few days left in the Qatar Airways Travel Festival promotion, you’d better get booking if you want to save some money while picking up extra points on your next holiday. Pick up more discounts on flight discounts on our Qatar Airways deals page.
