finder Rewards Roundup: Qantas, Velocity, Amex and Qatar

Posted: 10 November 2017 2:24 pm

Sign up to Qantas Business Rewards for free, score bonus Velocity Points and lounge in luxury with Amex.

We've hand-picked some of our favourite rewards offers from Qantas, Velocity, American Express and Qatar Airways to help you boost your points potential this week!

Last chance to sign up to Qantas Business Rewards for free

After launching its new Business Rewards program in February 2017, Qantas has been rewarding new members with free membership. Considering it usually costs $89.50 to sign up, this is a nice little saving. The offer is almost up though, so make sure you sign up by 30 November 2017 to join for free.

Once you’re a Qantas Business Rewards member, you can earn points to your individual Qantas Frequent Flyer account as well as your business account. You can also save with flight discounts and Qantas Club savings. If you fly a lot for business, the Qantas Business Rewards could be a smart way to boost your bonus points, redeem flights to save on travel costs or to reward your employees.

Take advantage of festive bonus points offers with Velocity’s advent calendar

Christmas is kicking off early with Velocity’s latest bonus points offer. The frequent flyer program is rewarding its members with an advent calendar packed with bonus points offers. For each day of November, you can open a new advent calendar door to discover a new bonus points offer with one of Velocity’s partnered retailers.

Some of the offers we’ve unlocked so far include 6 Velocity Points per $1 with Booktopia, David Jones and Mecca as well as 10 Velocity Points per $1 spent at Clinique. These are just some of the retailers you can expect bonus points from until the end of November; others include ASOS, Country Road, Boohoo and Kogan.

These bonus offers could be a great way to give your Velocity Points balance a boost while you’re doing your Christmas shopping this year.

American Express opens new Invites Lounge at ICC Sydney

American Express cardholders can relax before their next concert in style with the launch of the new entertainment lounge at ICC Sydney. Available from 1 December 2017, customers just have to show their Amex card at the entry to visit the lounge.

Decked out with comfortable tables and chairs as well as a fully-stocked bar and kitchen, you can relax before your next show with sweeping views of the Sydney city skyline. Rather than waiting in a long queue, you can purchase food and drinks at the bar and it will be brought to you thanks to the waiter table service.

The lounge is located on level 4 and you can bring up to three guests with you to enjoy the perks and views of the Amex lounge.

We were lucky enough to attend the launch earlier this week, so check out our coverage of the event for a sneak peek into the lounge before it opens to the public.

Qatar Airways partners with Bangkok Airways

Qatar Airways has bolstered its Privilege Club benefits by partnering with Bangkok Airways this week. So members can now redeem their Qmiles for flight rewards or earn points with either airline. Plus, this partnership also means increased access to airline networks and member benefits for both FlyerBonus and Qmiles members. Aussie travellers will also be happy to know that Qatar Airways is also adding Canberra to its network in 2018.

finder Rewards Roundup lists and compares the best* credit card, airline and frequent flyer reward offers of the week. Check back every Friday for the latest reward deals and to find out how you can get more out of your points each week.
