Whether you're a Qantas Frequent Flyer, a loyal Velocity member or an American Express cardholder, this week's Rewards Roundup is packed with some of the latest bonus points offers and deals to help you get a little extra value from your rewards program.
Transfer your credit cards rewards to earn up to 30% bonus Qantas Points
If you have a rewards credit card that allows you to transfer your points to your Qantas frequent flyer account, there may have never been a better time to make your move. If you transfer your credit or charge card reward points to Qantas Points by 30 September 2017, you’ll receive 15%, 20% or 30% more Qantas Points.
The more points you transfer, the bigger your bonus points bounty. You can compare how many points you’ll need for the different bonuses below:
|Bonus points||Points transfer|
|30% more Qantas Points||1,000,000 Qantas Points or more|
|20% more Qantas Points||Between 100,0001 - 999,999 Qantas Points|
|15% more Qantas Points||Up to 100,000 Qantas Points|
There aren’t many rewards credit cards that allow you to transfer points to your Qantas account, but you can take advantage of this offer with cards such as the American Express Platinum Charge card, Westpac Altitude Business Gold credit card or Altitude Business Platinum card.
If you’d prefer to collect Qantas Points directly, it might be time to start comparing Qantas Frequent Flyer credit cards.
Earn 500 bonus Qantas Points on your first Airbnb booking
While you can usually earn 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent on Airbnb bookings, Qantas frequent flyers now have 500 more reasons to book an Airbnb stay. As well as the standard earn rate, you can earn 500 bonus Qantas Points on your first Airbnb booking. This offer is available until 8 October 2017 and for bookings made through the Qantas website.
Triple the Velocity Points you can earn on your Virgin Money home loan
Imagine if your dream home could also help you redeem your next holiday for free? Well, if you’re in the market for a home loan and sign up for a Virgin Money Reward Me Home Loan by the end of October, you’ll receive 30,000 Velocity Points on settlement for every $100,000 you borrow.
You’ll also continue to earn a further 1,000 Velocity Points every month per loan account and will be rewarded with an additional 30,000 Velocity Points every three years you are a continuous Reward Me Home Loan customer with a balance above $50,000. This means you could earn 30,000 Velocity Points in the first five years of paying off your home loan. This is triple as many points as you’d usually receive!
This bonus points offer is only available if you apply by 31 October 2017 and settle by 31 January 2018. Although the points are rewarding, make sure to compare your home loans options before submitting your application.
Shop like a VIP at the Vogue and American Express Fashion’s Night Out
It’s that time of the year! Spring has sprung and Vogue and American Express’s annual Fashion’s Night Out event is upon us. And if you’re an American Express cardholder, there are some special rewards in store.
The event kicks off in Melbourne tonight at 5pm to open Melbourne Fashion Week and will also hit Sydney next Thursday 7 September. At this year’s one-night-only event, shoppers can expect live entertainment, exclusive offers, appearances from celebrities and fashion industry VIPs as well as exclusive runway shows.
Although the details for the Sydney event haven’t been revealed yet, we know that American Express is offering Melbourne card members $20 back when they spend $50 on their Amex cards up to three times at over 200 participating retailers tonight. American Express will also host a signature pop-up lounge in Bourke Street Mall where card members can relax, enjoy a glass of champagne or glam up at the Toni & Guy beauty bar.
Last year, American Express also hosted a pop-up lounge in Pitt Street Mall in Sydney's CBD, but we’ll keep you updated on the details of the Sydney event as they arrive.
finder Rewards Roundup lists and compares the best* credit card, airline and frequent flyer reward offers of the week. Check back every Friday for the latest rewards deals and to find out how you can get more out of your points each week.
