Take the plunge to earn more Qantas Points
Summer’s fast approaching, which means that there are lots of dips in the pool and swims at the beach on the horizon. And as if you’ll need another incentive to cool off, you’ll now be rewarded with Qantas Points as you swim laps, catch a wave or do aquarobics classes if you have the Qantas Assure App. Plus, if you need to invest in some new swimming gear this summer, you can use the promo code QAswim20 at the checkout on the Speedo website for 20% off your next purchase.
American Express launches new Qantas Business Rewards card with 100,000 bonus points
You’ve now got another way to earn points on your business expenses! American Express dropped its new Qantas Business Rewards charge card yesterday and it’s packed full of points perks. If you sign up by 31 December 2017 and spend $3,000 in the first two months, you could rack up 100,000 Qantas Points! That’s enough points to fly economy return from Sydney to Dubai or one way in first class to Hong Kong (both 90,000 points).
You can also earn 1.25 points per $1 spent on everyday purchases, triple points on eligible Qantas flights booked through Qantas Business Rewards and 0.5 points per $1 spent on utilities, non-American Express insurance policies and government transactions. Other travel perks include two complimentary domestic Qantas Club lounge passes each year and complimentary international travel insurance. As a business charge card, the card is linked to the Qantas Business Rewards program, meaning you can earn points on your individual account and your organisation’s Business Rewards account.
The card has a $450 annual fee though, so make sure that the perks outweigh the costs before you apply. For more details, check out our review of the Amex Qantas Business Rewards card.
