Earn Qantas Points on Deliveroo takeaway orders
You can now earn Qantas Points on your next meal without having to step out of the house. As we reported earlier this week, Qantas announced a new partnership with online delivery service Deliveroo, allowing cardholders to earn two Qantas Points for every dollar they spend ordering food. To earn points, you need to download the Deliveroo app or visit the Deliveroo website to create an account. You can then select “My Account” and enter your Qantas Frequent Flyer details into the Qantas tab to link your accounts.
If you’re not a Qantas points collector, you can browse our line-up of Deliveroo discount codes for more ways to save.
Pick up rewards points with retail loyalty programs courtesy of Samsung Pay
Forget searching through your wallet to find that loyalty card at the checkout, Samsung Pay’s latest feature lets you earn points with your favourite retailer with convenience. The new extension lets you load your participating loyalty cards onto your Samsung Galaxy smartphone to collect points.
All you’ll need to do is tap to open Samsung Pay, select the relevant loyalty card and tap your smartphone against the merchant’s scanner. Your loyalty card’s barcode will be scanned and the points will be debited to your loyalty account.
See our coverage of the story for a full list of the loyalty partners you can earn points with through Samsung Pay.

Virgin Australia’s Hat Valet
You’re not the only one who knows that Melbourne Cup isn’t about what you win, it’s about what you wear. Virgin’s Hat Valet will transport racegoers and their precious cargo (their hats and headpieces, of course) from Sydney to Melbourne in style this Spring Racing Carnival season. Located in Virgin Australia’s Sydney Lounge, the Hat Valet service ensures your headpiece is handled with premium care from the moment they arrive at Premium Entry in Sydney until they’re hand delivered to you in Melbourne.
And the perks don’t end there. Racegoers will be offered sparkling wine on arrival, a range of canapes created by the Virgin Australia chef. You can also get primped and preened for race day with pre-flight pampering options in the Sydney Lounge, including professional blow-dries and styling, make-up appointments and ModelCo take home kits. While the ladies are getting pampered, gents can make sure their kicks are looking their best with a complimentary shoe-shining service. Inspired by the ancient proverb “If you didn’t Instagram it, did it even happen?”, you can also take a photo in front of the flower wall in the Sydney Lounge and use the hashtag #virginaustraliahatvalet on social media to flaunt to your friends.
These exclusive services are open to Business Class guests and Velocity Platinum and Gold members travelling on selected flights from Sydney to Melbourne between Friday 28 October and Saturday 5 November 2016.
