Virgin Australia’s Hat Valet

You’re not the only one who knows that Melbourne Cup isn’t about what you win, it’s about what you wear. Virgin’s Hat Valet will transport racegoers and their precious cargo (their hats and headpieces, of course) from Sydney to Melbourne in style this Spring Racing Carnival season. Located in Virgin Australia’s Sydney Lounge, the Hat Valet service ensures your headpiece is handled with premium care from the moment they arrive at Premium Entry in Sydney until they’re hand delivered to you in Melbourne.

And the perks don’t end there. Racegoers will be offered sparkling wine on arrival, a range of canapes created by the Virgin Australia chef. You can also get primped and preened for race day with pre-flight pampering options in the Sydney Lounge, including professional blow-dries and styling, make-up appointments and ModelCo take home kits. While the ladies are getting pampered, gents can make sure their kicks are looking their best with a complimentary shoe-shining service. Inspired by the ancient proverb “If you didn’t Instagram it, did it even happen?”, you can also take a photo in front of the flower wall in the Sydney Lounge and use the hashtag #virginaustraliahatvalet on social media to flaunt to your friends.

These exclusive services are open to Business Class guests and Velocity Platinum and Gold members travelling on selected flights from Sydney to Melbourne between Friday 28 October and Saturday 5 November 2016.
