Book an Uber for your chance to win 1 million Qantas Points this month
Jumping in an Uber is about to get more rewarding! If you book an Uber ride to or from any eligible Australian airport by 28 September 2018, you’ll go into the running to win 1 million Qantas Points. Qantas will draw one winner every week for the month of September.
As usual, you’ll also continue to earn Qantas Points per $1 you spend on your Uber trip. The number of points you’ll earn will depend on your Qantas status.
|Qantas tier||Uber earn rate|
|Bronze members||1 Qantas Point per $1 spent|
|Silver members||2 Qantas Points per $1 spent|
|Gold, Platinum and Platinum One members||3 Qantas Points per $1 spent|
If you haven’t already, you can also earn 2,000 points when you link your Qantas and Uber accounts. You can see our guide to earning Qantas Points on Uber trips for more information.
Collect 500 Qantas Points when you spend $40 or more at Hoyts
Qantas Frequent Flyers have another reason to relax at the cinemas this weekend. Until 16 September 2018, you’ll earn 500 bonus Qantas Points when you spend $40 or more in a single transaction. This is on top of the 1 Qantas Point per $2 you’ll earn if you’re a HOYTS Rewards Bronze member or the 2 Qantas Points per $1 you’ll earn if you’re a HOYTS Rewards Silver member.
If you haven’t already, don’t forget to link your Qantas and HOYTS Rewards accounts to get the points. When you log into your HOYTS Rewards online account, just select “Add Qantas Membership” and enter your frequent flyer membership number to start earning points at the movies.
Win 1 million Velocity Points with Virgin Money
Virgin Money is rewarding one lucky frequent flyer with 1 million Velocity Points! The points giveaway is open to customers who apply for an eligible Virgin Money product by 31 October 2018.
This includes the Virgin Australia Velocity High Flyer credit card, the Velocity Flyer credit card and the Reward Me Home Loan. Eligible Virgin Money insurance covers also include Virgin Income Protection, Life Insurance and Home and Contents insurance. You must be approved by 23 November 2018 and include your Velocity Frequent Flyer number in the application to be in the running.
Only one frequent flyer will score 1 million points, so it’s not worth applying for these products just for the sake of throwing your hat in the ring. However, each of these products come with competitive bonus points offers as well. As always, make sure to compare your options and read the competition terms and conditions before you apply.
