finder Rewards Roundup: Qantas, Velocity, SPG, KrisFlyer, Amex
The latest rewards perks from bonus points and discounts to pre-sale concert tickets.
This week's Rewards Roundup is a miscellaneous mixed bag of perks from some of Australia's favourite loyalty programs. We'll show you how you can get more Starwood Preferred Guest Starpoints for less and pick up 1,000 KrisFlyer miles just for signing up! You'll also discover how to earn 6,000 points on your next AccorHotels stay and up to 400,000 Qantas Points with Qantas Business Rewards. If you have some gigs coming up, we'll even show you how you can get some discounts with Velocity Live and snag your tickets early with American Express Invites.
Save 35% when you buy SPG Starpoints
Want to give your Starwood Preferred Guest Startpoints balance a boost? You can purchase 500 Starpoints for $17.50 USD. But if you buy 5,000 or more Starpoints by 16 March 2018, you’ll get 35% off the regular price. This means you can redeem your next hotel reward sooner and for less.
5,000 Starpoints usually costs $175, but this would be reduced to $114 during the promotional period. Purchasing points isn't usually the most cost-effective way to bolster your points balance, but taking advantage of this offer can definitely help you get more value for your money if you want to increase your points balance.
This means that while 5,000 Starpoints would usually cost $175, you’d only have to pay approximately $114 during this promotion. While purchasing points isn’t usually the most cost-effective way to bolster your points balance, you can get more bang for your buck with this deal.
Join KrisFlyer and earn 1,000 bonus miles
Here are 1,000 more reasons to join Singapore Airline’s KrisFlyer program this month. If you’re not already a member and sign up by 31 March 2018, you’ll be rewarded with 1,000 KrisFlyer miles.
You can sign up via the Singapore Airlines website and need to include the promo code JOINKFSQ to qualify for the points. You can expect the points to land in your account within four to six weeks. While you can’t redeem much with 1,000 miles, it’s an easy way to give your KrisFlyer balance a little boost while you’re getting started!

Earn up to 6,000 bonus points on your next three stays with AccorHotels
If you belong to the Le Club AccorHotels loyalty program and are at Classic status, you can usually earn between 5 and 25 points per stay spent at partnered hotels. But until 6 March 2018, you could score up to 6,000 points on your next three stays with AccorHotels.
On your first stay of two nights or more, you’ll earn 500 reward points. On your second stay of two nights or more, you’ll pick up another 2,500 reward points. And on your third stay of two nights or more, you’ll score 3,000 bonus reward points. That adds up to 6,000 points in total! These points are also awarded in addition to the ones you’d usually earn on your stay.
The catch is that the bonus points offer only applies to stays between 20 February and 2 September 2018. If you prefer to collect frequent flyer points over hotel rewards, remember that you can exchange your Le Club points 1:1 with Qantas Points or Velocity Points.

Secure pre-sale Celine Dion concert tickets with American Express Invites
Speaking of upcoming gigs, American Express has a bunch of pre-sale tickets available for its customers this week. If you’re an Amex cardholder, you can get early access to tickets to Celine Dion’s highly anticipated LIVE 2018 TOUR this winter.
The Amex Invites pre-sale is open from 12pm Monday 12 February 2018 until 5pm Tuesday 13 February 2018 (or until sold out). You don’t need a code to access the pre-sale, but you are required to purchase the tickets with your Amex card.
The Canadian treasure will be visiting Australia in late July and August and her tour will consist of dates in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne. This is Celine’s first visit to Australia in a decade, so it could be your chance to snag tickets first for this much-anticipated date.
Plus, if you’re attending the Sydney or Brisbane gigs, you can also relax before the show in the luxury of the American Express entertainment lounges if you present your Amex card at the entry.
