Receive complimentary Virgin Australia Lounge passes when you book a Vivid Sydney track package
The bright lights of Vivid are returning to Sydney this month! And Virgin Australia is rewarding its Velocity frequent flyers with complimentary lounge access for travel packages booked by 15 May 2018. These lounge passes usually set you back $65 a visit, so it’s an easy way to add some luxury to your trip without paying any extra.
The Vivid packages include flights and accommodation (although some also come with cruises and dinner deals). When you book one of these Virgin Australia packages, you’ll receive one single-entry Virgin Australia Lounge pass per guest for each leg of your trip.
There are more than 10 Virgin Australia Lounges at domestic airports around Australia and most of them boast complimentary Wi-Fi, complimentary food and drinks (including buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner) as well as comfortable seats and private workstations.
You can read our comprehensive coverage of this offer for a full list of the lounges and more details about what you can expect from your lounge visit!
2,000 bonus flybuys points with Uber or Coles Gift Mastercard
Coles is giving away 2,000 bonus flybuys points when you buy a $100 Coles Gift Mastercard or Uber gift card this week.
Available until 8 May 2018, the gift card that offers the best value will depend on your spending habits. You can use the Coles Gift Mastercard wherever Mastercard is accepted, meaning you can spend those funds on almost anything you want and get the bonus points for close to nothing. Note that there is a $5 service fee to use the Gift Mastercard, but 2,000 bonus points for 5 bucks isn’t a bad trade off.
Whereas if you’re a regular Uber passenger, you could find more value from spending your $100 and getting the bonus points with your ride share voucher. Considering you’d usually have to spend $2,000 at Coles or one of its partner retailers to earn 2,000 flybuys points, both are pretty pain-free ways to pick up your points. Plus, if you’re a Velocity Frequent Flyer, you can exchange your 2,000 flybuys for 870 Velocity Points!
Flybuys has promoted similar bonus points offers pretty regularly over the last few weeks, so make sure to keep an eye out for more ways to pick up bonus points on gift cards.
Exchange your Woolworths Rewards for Qantas Points and get your share of 30 million Qantas Points
If you haven’t already, you could snap up a few bonus points when you opt to convert your Woolworths Rewards for Qantas Points this month. If you do this by 31 May 2018, you’ll automatically score your share of 30 million Qantas Points.
Unfortunately, this offer is only available to rewards members who haven’t already opted to exchange their Woolworths Rewards for Qantas Points. Plus, the bonus points you’ll receive are unlikely to be life changing. Considering there are 10.5 million Woolworths Rewards members, even if just 10% took advantage of this offer, each frequent flyer would only get 30 Qantas Points.
But even if the bonus points are small, you’ve got nothing to lose if you're already considering converting your supermarket rewards to frequent flyer points and you take advantage of this offer. Want to know more? See our in-depth coverage of this offer. You can also use our Woolworths Rewards and Qantas Points calculator to see how many Qantas Points you can earn on your average supermarket shop.

You can now earn KrisFlyer miles on Scoot flights
Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer members have a new way to earn and redeem miles on Scoot flights. From this week, you can now earn 1 KrisFlyer mile per SGD$1 spent on your Scoot base fare and add-ons. You can also use your KrisFlyer miles to pay for all or part of a flight with Scoot. Previously you could only redeem your KrisFlyer miles for Scoot flight vouchers, so this will make it easier for frequent flyers to use their miles to book flight rewards.
