Enjoy shampoo and conditioner that's good for your hair and the environment.

If you're looking to reduce your plastic waste and just so happen to be in the market for a new shampoo and conditioner duo, here's what you need to know about My Soda.

This Australian made and owned haircare brand is conscious of how much plastic is used and actually ends up getting recycled. My Soda promises to deliver plant-based haircare that is good for both your hair and the environment.

What makes My Soda Haircare eco-friendly?

One of the most prominent features about My Soda is the packaging. Sure, the colour is a gorgeous bright blue – but it's also been designed with clever refill packs in order to reduce plastic waste.

The bottles have been made with recycled plastic and are recyclable. Once you finish the product, simply purchase the refill packs to replenish what you have at home.

The refill pouches can also be upcycled through REDcycle. Simply return it to Woolworths, and the soft plastics are converted into other items – including playground equipment and modern lawn furniture.

What about the actual product formulation? My Soda carries three targeted ranges: Smooth, Hydrate and Cleanse. While they may address different hair concerns, all of the products are formulated with natural and organic ingredients.

  • The Smooth range features aloe vera, rosehip oil and coconut oil to increase shine and smoothness.
  • The Hydrate range is created with argan oil to condition the hair and scalp.
  • The Cleanse range contains avocado oil to gently cleanse and nourish your locks.

My Soda's range has been formulated without parabens, SLES, ALS, harsh detergents, petrochemical cleansers or minerals oils. It's also vegan and cruelty-free.

Where can I get it?

The My Soda haircare range is available exclusively at Woolworths.

Both the shampoo and the conditioner will set you back $10 for each, and the refills cost $12 each. That's an incredibly affordable price point for a sustainable haircare solution that you can pick up from your local supermarket.

In a press release, Elise Synnott, the Marketing Manager at Natures Organics, said:

"With sustainability at the forefront of consumerism right now, we're so proud to bring a naturally plant based, affordable, and trend inspired haircare brand to Australian consumers, aimed at helping to reduce the environmental impact on our planet."
