Allow me to introduce to you the world's first natural deodorant that's equipped with 100% biodegradable refills – ASUVI.
How did the brand come to fruition? ASUVI's founder, Thomas Richard, was looking for an effective natural deodorant that's good for the body and the planet too. It also needed to have eco-conscious packaging and be available in a range of different scents.
After realising it didn't exist, Thomas decided to create it himself.
What makes ASUVI deodorant eco friendly?
Packaging
ASUVI's eco-conscious packaging is probably one of the most notable features. The brand provides consumers with a bio-refill system, meaning once you purchase your first ASUVI product, you only have to buy refill tubes.
The refills are biodegradable and are made entirely from cardboard and paper products. On the other hand, the reusable tube is designed to last years. It's made from 100% recycled polypropylene plastic (which is a sturdy material), while still being lightweight and super easy to recycle.
You may be wondering... why use plastic? Well, ASUVI wanted to put a resource that already exists to good use, rather than bury it in landfill.
Once a tube has been refilled, ASUVI recommends placing it in a household recycling bin. You can also tear it into smaller pieces and place it in your home compost.

Ingredients
The ASUVI Natural Deodorant arrives in a number of scents, as well as one that's been created specifically for sensitive skin – it's made without bicarb.
In terms of the product itself, this deodorant is 100% natural and organic. It contains a blend of premium plant extracts and minerals, including coconut oil, diatomaceous earth, shea butter and more.
It's also free from Aluminum Chlorohydrate, parabens, animal products, animal testing, synthetic fragrance, palm oil and phthalates.
We also appreciate the brand's social responsibility with 1% of all ASUVI sales going towards The Ocean Cleanup. This organisation works to remove 90% of ocean plastic through interceptors and passive clean-up solutions.

To purchase your first ASUVI product (a reusable tube and a deodorant stick), you'll need $22. After that, you'll just have to buy the refill and this will set you back $20. If you do want to commit to ASUVI, you can subscribe to the brand which will end up saving you a few dollars.
