Budget Direct was the second most popular home insurance brand surveyed. It's one of the cheapest home insurers on the market and gained an overall score of 4.3/5.
Everyday home insurance, formerly Woolworths, ranked in third place, gaining an overall score of 4.3/5. One of its major perks is its discount. You get 10% off your grocery shop, once a month, with a home insurance policy.

Australia Post home insurance came in first place in NSW. It scored 4.43/5 overall. 91% of people surveyed said they would recommend Australia Post to a friend.

NRMA home insurance came in second place in NSW. It scored 4.38/5 overall. 90% of people surveyed said they would recommend NRMA to a friend.
NRMA home insurance came in third place in NSW. It scored 4.34/5 overall. 89% of people surveyed said they would recommend ING to a friend.
Youi came in first place in QLD, scoring 4.45/5. 92% of people surveyed said they would recommend Youi to a friend.

Home insurance customer satisfaction awards methodology
To get our customer satisfaction award winners for home insurance, we asked a total of 6,116 customers how they felt about their current home insurer. To be eligible for inclusion in the final results, we had to get a minimum of 35 responses for each home insurer.
We asked each customer to rate the following out of 5:
- Features and benefits
- Customer service
- Value for money
- Ease of application
- Overall
Respondents were also asked whether they would recommend the brand to a friend. The final score was calculated as an average of all metrics scored.
