Going to China? We've found your flight.

Sorry, this sale is no longer running. Check our list of current flight sales to find a bargain!

There are a host of super cheap flights to China on sale right now, including a range of direct airfares. Some of the under $250 highlights include Sydney-Shanghai direct from $232 each way, and Sydney-Hefei from $247 one way, as well as flights to countless other destination cities, taking off from other Australian capitals, for under $300.

If you're looking for any flight to China at all, it's a great time to go hunting for a bargain. Depending on your preferences, you can assemble your own round trip deal at prices about on par with outstanding previous sales where return fares have been under $500.

One of the great features going here, however, is the complete range of destination cities in China. Unlike the usual flash sales, you aren't restricted to the beaten tourist path. You can get to Shanghai and Heifing for under $250, and for less than $300 you can fly to more than a dozen other spots, including Shenzhen, Taiyuan, Tianjin, Xiamen, Yantai, Zhengzhou, Nanchang, Wengzhou, Ningbo and many more.

Some of the cheapest flights available from around Australia include:

  • Sydney to Shanghai from $232 return
  • Perth to Guangzhou from $330 return
  • Melbourne to Jinan from $334 return
  • Brisbane to Nanjing from $485 return
  • Adelaide to Qingdao from $469 return

You'll also find the usual crowd-pleasers at crowd-pleasing prices, including Xian (for the terracotta warriors), Harbin with its impressive Russian influence and famous ice sculptures, and the ancient rock carvings and other wonders of Luoyang, and so many more.

China is a vast country, so you might have warm weather in one corner and freezing temperatures in another. As such, you'll want to match your time of visit to your destination, and consider any festivals or events you want to take in while you're there. Generally, the best times to visit are April to June and September to to October for nicer weather, or mid-winter from December to February for the lowest prices but colder weather.

The cheapest airlines will depend on your route, but generally include budget carriers like AirAsia, and a range of China's homegrown airlines like China Southern, XiamenAir and Shandong Airlines.

Right now, Aussies can find a great deal for somewhere they've never been before. Find the cheapest available dates for each city with Skyscanner here, or search for your preferred travel dates below.
