Fetch TV launches skinny channel packs with extra streaming entertainment

10 extra premium channels are now available.

Pay TV service Fetch TV rolled out a heap of new hardware options last year, including the Fetch TV Mini. This year, it looks like the focus is on expanding the content offering. From Monday, Fetch TV is overhauling its channel pack structure, and customers will be able to choose from a series of four "skinny" packs, which will cost $6 a month each.

In order to offer these new packs, Fetch has launched an additional 10 new premium channels to the service, including Disney XD, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, CBeebies, ZooMoo, 13th Street, MTV Classic, 111 Very Funny, Edge Sports, and Garage TV. Fetch also promises to further expand that list later this year.

For streamers who want it all, Fetch has also launched a new Ultimate package, which includes all 49 Fetch TV channels, for $20 per month. Fetch has promised that existing customers can remain on their current plans, or migrate to the new packs, though they won't be able to watch the 10 new channels unless they migrate.

Special interest packs are still separate offerings, so for customers wanting BeIN Sports or Optus Sports, there's still an additional monthly fee separate to the new skinny channel pack offerings.

Fetch also has the advantage of offering free-to-air tuners in its DVR boxes, plus immediate access to platforms like Netflix and Stan, combining to be a fairly comprehensive entertainment solution.

Here's a full run down of the new channel packs.
