Instagram made me buy it: Fenty Beauty Full Frontal Mascara
Introducing the Fenty Beauty Full Frontal Mascara (AKA my new best friend).
Fenty Beauty announced the Full Frontal Mascara on 8 January and everyone kind of lost it (myself included). The excitement not only came from the cult Fenty lovers (also myself included) but for the fact that this mascara is quite literally different to every other on the market.
How so? Well, it features a unique Flat to Fat wand. It varies to most other mascaras as this product features a two-sided design. A flat side that curls and defines each lash and a fat one that will volumise and add from the lash root.
I've also just had my lash extensions removed and felt like I had a strong resemblance to a naked mole rat, so I was in the market for something to help me out.
The review
Okay, so I've tried nearly every product in the Fenty Beauty line. The Fenty Beauty concealer and hydrating foundation are easily two of my go-to products, so this kind of makes me a professional to give this mascara a try.
I'm not going to lie, when I pulled out the wand to check out the unique design, I was a little confused. I was really investigating its unique shape and I definitely had a moment of "okay, how the hell does this thing work?"
It wasn't anywhere near as difficult as I originally made it out to be and honestly, the results were ridiculously good. One side of this mascara lengthens your lashes and one side adds volume and damn girl, it actually works. There was a moment when I swapped sides and could see the exact difference between the lashes.
Is Rihanna a black magic witch? Probably. Am I upset about it? Not in the slightest.
My favourite thing about this product is that you can really build up the product and it doesn't become chunky at all. I know, it sounds too good to be true but it really applied to each and every lash without them all sticking together.
I applied the product in the morning and it lasted pretty well. I've used products that tend to get a bit dry and crumbly throughout the day and I definitely didn't experience this. Thankfully, with this product, you avoid that moment at the end of the day when you look in the mirror and think "oh my goodness, why didn't anyone tell me I looked like that?!"
I do have pretty long lashes and when I was applying it I noticed a small amount would transfer onto my lid but it's super easy to scrape off with a spoolie.
Would I buy it again?
All in all, I really like this product. The wand, the formula, the fact that Rihanna made it specifically for me (facts) just makes it a 10/10 in my books. I'll keep you updated for how long it lasts and whether it dries out but I really doubt Riri would do me dirty like that.
Where you can buy it
It's actually super easy to get your hands on the Fenty Full Frontal Mascara. It's stocked at Sephora so you can purchase it online or head into your local store. It retails for $39 so it is on the more expensive side of the spectrum but I promise, it's worth it.
