The Far Cry series ditches modern weaponry and vehicles for spears, clubs and tameable sabertooths in this Mesolithic romp. Here's where you can get it for the best price in Australia.
If the Blood Dragon spin-off of Far Cry 3 taught us anything, it was that Ubisoft is not afraid to take the series in some odd directions. This time around, the direction Ubisoft has headed is back, way, way back.
A big part of the fun is Far Cry 2,3 and 4 was the varied gunplay and massive selection of weapons, so it was quite a risk to take for Ubisoft to peel away all gun-based combat for Primal. However, it's a risk that's paid off. Instead of SMGs and Sniper Rifles, players must use whatever resources at hand, whether it be slate, wood or reeds, to craft spears, clubs and bows. Where there was once RPGs and heavy machine guns, there is now a selection of tameable beasts, including but not limited to, cave bears, honey badgers and jaguars.
While the fun of overthrowing an enemy camp with all the tools at your disposal remains, you spend a large portion of the game surviving. Whether that means hunting wolves for a winter pelt that allows you to survive the icy mountaintops, or building a better community for your tribe, gathering resources is just as important as overthrowing the enemy.
So whether you're a fan of survival games, like Rust, or more of a trigger-happy FPS fan, Primal is sure to please. Here are the cheapest prices you can find it for in Australia.
