MBFWA officially opened last night with a star studded Dion Lee show at the Opera House.

This year, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia started on Sunday. The very first show of the week took place against the backdrop of the Opera House down in Sydney's Circular Quay. The resort collection was quintessentially Dion Lee, featuring sharp cuts, asymmetric lines and a primary colour palette with royal blue, red and yellow. Many of the pieces drew inspiration from 80's fashion (we saw lots of this at Milan Fashion Week earlier in the year) with double breasted blazers and shoulder pads.
