Ellipsis is a decentralised exchange (DEX) built on the Binance Smart Chain. It is primarily intended for the swapping of stablecoins with low fees and minimal slippage (the difference in price between trade order and execution). Ellipsis is an "authorised fork" of the Curve decentralised finance (DeFi) platform that offers the trading of 11 different stablecoins, including DAI, USDC and BUSD. As of September 2021, the network has a Total Value Locked (TVL) of USD$1.1 billion and is compatible with 2 wallets – MetaMask and WalletConnect. Token holders are able to generate interest from their assets by providing to 8 different liquidity pools available on the application. The LPTs (liquidity pool tokens) that are received when providing liquidity can be staked for further financial rewards (in the form of EPS tokens). EPS is the BEP-20 token native to the Ellipsis DeFi protocol and is vital for the platform’s economic functioning. As well as being an incentive, EPS tokens can be staked or used to pay for – and receive – trading fees.
