EFM Indio Bluetooth Speaker review

Last updated:

Quick verdict: At under $100, there's plenty to like about the EFM Indio Bluetooth speaker, especially in terms of battery life.

  • Low asking price
  • Good battery life
  • Average sound output

EFM's Indio Speaker isn't notably fancy. It's not a smart speaker as you might find from the likes of Google or Amazon. It won't act as a battery pack for your other devices, and its sound output is entirely relative to its price. If you just need a basic Bluetooth output that'll go further than your phone can manage, it's an acceptable option.

  • A reasonable option if you don't want a smart speaker

Should you buy it?

There are a lot of Bluetooth speakers on the market, so you're rather spoilt for choice at the EFM Indio Bluetooth Speaker's price point. That includes a number of smaller "smart" speakers such as the Google Home Mini, although that's not a truly portable speaker in the way that the EFM Indio Bluetooth Speaker is.

In terms of feature sets, a smart speaker will offer you more than the EFM Indio Bluetooth Speaker can manage, but if you're wary of smart speakers or need something simple, relatively durable and portable, it's a decent alternative.
