Save big on Huawei's deluxe folding phone by pre-ordering through eBay now.

The Huawei Mate XS is one of the most innovate – and expensive – smartphones to enter the market thanks to its 8-inch outwards-folding display. And in some good news, eBay pre-orders are currently going for 10% off the RRP.

The Huawei Mate XS doesn't officially launch in Australia until 9 April. If you're keen to get your hands on the device ASAP, Mobileciti has a deal on its eBay store that is well worth checking out. For a limited time, you can get a 10% discount on pre-orders, which works out to be $399 off.

This compares favourably to other pre-order options in Australia – both Huawei Direct and JB Hi-Fi are listing the device at full price. The deal also includes a bonus leather cover valued at $199 at no extra charge.

The Huawei Mate XS normally costs an eye-watering $3,998 in Australia. If you pre-order from eBay, that price comes down to a slightly more palatable $3,599.

To receive the 10% discount, use the code "PLUM10" at the checkout.

It's worth noting that the highly publicised Google Huawei ban still applies in Australia. This means that the device won't be coming with any Google apps or services, including the Google Play store.

Instead, the Mate XS uses Huawei's official app distribution platform, AppGallery. As we noted in our Huawei Mate 30 Pro review, the AppGallery isn't a patch on Google Play with many notable omissions. We suggest checking how many of your favourite Android apps are missing prior to making your purchase.
