Start making every dollar count and earn up to 300 Velocity points on fuel on each BP visit.
Virgin's dedicated frequent flyer program, Velocity, has a new partner, and this one will see you earning points just for keeping your car on the road. Find out how you can grow your Velocity points balance for filling up your car at BP, and also for picking up a few things while you're in-store.
How can I start earning?
- Just fill up at any participating BP station and you'll earn 2 Velocity points for every litre of fuel you purchase, up to 150 litres.
- Present your Velocity membership card before you pay at the counter. (Not yet a member? Learn how you can join for free.)
- Your points will appear in your Velocity account in about 72 hours of making the purchase.
Can you earn points any other way at BP?
Not only will you earn points for petrol, but purchases you make in BP earn points as well. For every dollar you spend at BP, you'll earn 2 points for every $1 spent up to $100. Certain products are exempt from earning points, including tobacco and gift cards. If you fill up with 50 litres worth of fuel and spend $100 in-store on eligible items, that's a massive 300 Velocity points you could earn in a single transaction.
I'm not a Velocity member. How do I sign up?
You can join the Velocity program for free. You'll need to provide the following information to sign up:
- Your full name is it appears on your passport
- Your home address, phone number, and email address
- Your date of birth
Want to earn more Velocity points?
Apart from BP, there's a variety of partners through which you can earn Velocity points, as well as earning points for flying with Virgin. Here are the other ways you can earn Velocity Points.
Velocity Points earning credit cards
You can get rewarded for every dollar you spend on purchases with a rewards credit card. These cards either credit you with Velocity points, or let you earn points that you can later transfer to the Velocity program. You can earn a few points per dollar spent with these cards, and it helps you grow your points balance without you even realising.
Travel with Virgin or a partner airline
When you fly with Virgin or an airline partner such as Singapore Airlines or Air New Zealand, you can earn up to four Velocity points for every mile you fly. You can also earn status credits, which can help you move up the membership tiers and earn more points.
Spend with Velocity Global Wallet
If you're planning a trip, why not consider the Velocity Global Wallet to carry your money? You can hold up to 11 currencies at one time on the card and you'll earn up to 1 point per $1 spent on your purchases. You can continue to use the card as a prepaid debit card in Australia and earn 1 point per $2 spent.
Shop with a program partner
Velocity also has various shopping partners that can see you earning points. The Velocity eStore lets you shop for brands such as ASOS and eBay, and you can even earn points for paying bills with Lumo Energy or Virgin Mobile.
This BP offer is just one of the many ways you can find value from the Velocity frequent flyer program. Why not let yourself be rewarded?Back to top
