Earn up to 50,000 bonus points with Qantas Cash

Boost your Qantas Points balance by topping up your Qantas Cash card this month.
Are you heading overseas to escape the Aussie winter? You can reward yourself for getting your travel money organised with the latest Qantas Cash offer.
If you load cash on your card and lock it in with a supported foreign currency by 20 June 2018, you can earn up to 50,000 Qantas Points just for topping up your card. Usually, you can only earn Qantas Points once you start spending that money, so it’s an easy way to earn more points without forking out any extra cash.
The number of bonus points you’ll earn will depend on how much money you’re putting on your card. You can see the breakdown of bonus points in the table below:
Load amount (in equivalent FX) | Earn points (per dollar) | Maximum bonus points potential |
---|---|---|
AUD$2,000 to $4,999 | 1 Qantas Point | 4,999 Qantas Points |
AUD$5,000 to $9,999 | 1.5 Qantas Points | 14,998.5 Qantas Points |
AUD$10,000 to $20,000 | 2.5 Qantas Points | 50,000 Qantas Points |
You’ll earn 1.5 Qantas Points per AUD$1 spent on eligible purchases overseas. So if you spend $20,000 on your card, you’d earn an additional 30,000 Qantas Points. That lifts your points potential to 80,000 just for topping up and paying with your Qantas Cash card.
THE POINTS FINDER TAKE
You usually have to spend money before you can earn bonus Qantas Points, so this is an easy way to earn more points just for topping up your card.
You can load 10 foreign currencies on to the Qantas Cash travel card. Supported currencies include USD, GBP, SGD, EUR, NZD, HKD, JPY, CAD, THB and AED. When you transfer Australian dollars into a supported currency, they’ll be locked in at the current exchange rate and you can use the card to make international transactions without incurring currency conversion fees (as you would with most debit cards or credit cards).
Even if you’re not taking an overseas trip, you could also make use of this bonus points offer if you frequently shop with overseas merchants and want to earn points while avoiding currency conversion costs.
If you don't already have a Qantas Cash card, you can apply for one easily online. You’ll just need to include your Frequent Flyer membership number, add your contact information and set a password. If you’re not already a Qantas Frequent Flyer, you can join the program for free and save the $89.50 joining fee when you apply for the Qantas Cash card.
