Earn double Qantas Status Credits this week
Move up the Qantas tiers faster and enjoy more perks with this Status Credit offer.
Do you like the sound of complimentary lounge invitations, higher points earn rates and other exclusive in-flight benefits that come with earning Qantas Status Credits? Well, you can take off with twice as many Status Credits on eligible Qantas flights around the world this weekend!
If you’re a Qantas Frequent Flyer, check your inbox and you should’ve received an email regarding the offer. Then all you have to do is register for the offer (there’s a link in the email) and book an eligible flight between 1 February and 5 February 2018 to earn the bonus Status Credits. The travel has to be booked for 12 February 2018 to 20 January 2019, so keep that in mind when booking your flights.
If you have more than one trip planned for the next 12 months, you’ll be glad to know that you can take advantage of this offer as many times as you want during the promotional period! This could especially come in handy if you know you have a bunch of business trips coming up throughout the year.
While you can earn points on almost everything and redeem them for flights and other rewards, you can usually only earn Status Credits on flights (although some credit cards have offered bonus Status Credits in recent months). As you earn more Status Credits, you can move up the Qantas Status tiers of Bronze Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum One. The higher you move up the ladder, the more perks you can enjoy. It varies between the tiers, but some of these extra benefits include complimentary lounge invitations, higher points earn rates, priority check-in and boarding, additional baggage allowances and more.
So, let’s say you're a Bronze Qantas Frequent Flyer and are flying from Sydney to San Francisco in Premium Economy. You’d usually earn 100 Status Credits for this flight, but this will be boosted to 200 credits if you book before the promotion ends. As Bronze Qantas Frequent Flyers must have at least 100 Status Credits, the bonus Status Credits from your flight would be enough points to push you into the Silver category (which requires 300 Status Credits).
As a Silver Qantas member, you can look forward to earning 50% more Qantas Points, priority check-in and extra baggage allowance plus a complimentary lounge invitation. You can check out our guide to the Qantas tiers for more information about the benefits of the Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum One tiers and the Status Credits you need to climb the status ladder.
As bonus Status Credit offers generally aren't as widely available as bonus points offers, you might want to jump on this offer now while you can!
