DVI is the native cryptocurrency of the Dvision Network, a virtual-reality (VR) focused ecosystem. The protocol was developed on the Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain (BSC) blockchains with an aim to produce a metaverse platform that combines the power of blockchain and VR technology. The Dvision Network is divided into three core components: the Meta-Space, Meta-City, and a non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace.
According to the project’s documentation, the Meta-Space, also known as, LAND, is a piece of virtual real estate that users can customise and build. Parcels of LAND compose what is known as Meta-City, or the Dvision World. Each piece of virtual real estate can be personalised to each user’s preferences and allows a user to express or market themselves within the virtual space. Each parcel of LAND is represented as an NFT and can, therefore, be exchanged between different participants. Users can also create digital avatars (digital representations of themselves) to further personalise their Dvision Network experience. Lastly, the NFT marketplace allows players to trade unique assets from the Dvision World including LAND - the individual parcels of Meta-Space, AVATARS - digital representations of players, PET - an asset required to access the play-to-earn arena, and ITEM - other in-game accessories created by the users. DVI is the utility token of the Dvision Network and is crucial to all aspects of the internal financial ecosystem. All those wishing to purchase a piece of LAND must stake a set number of DVI tokens to secure their own Meta-Space within the metaverse. DVI is also used to complete all transactions within the NFT marketplace.
