Dr. Martens x Sex Pistols shoes

Never mind the bollocks, here's our new favourite shoe collaboration.

In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Dr. Martens has been dropping a range of new kicks recently, with the latest taking the form of a second Sex Pistols collaboration. As a label renowned for its punky, devil-may-care vibes, the team up hardly comes as a surprise, though we're no less excited about getting our hands on a pair.

Release date: 11 April 2020

Price: Unknown

Where to buy: Dr. Martens

This time around, the collection takes on the classic Dr. Martens 1461 shoe and reimagines it in an eye-catching newspaper print. A black outsole and laces continue the black and white theme, while bright red "ANARCHY" text appears across the laces.

Additional detailing sees the iconic Sex Pistols band logo printed in black and red down the left heel, while red "ANARCHY" text once again appears down the heel of the right.

The pair serves as a homage to the 1976 live on-air interview between Steve Jones and television host Bill Grundy. The interview resulted in so many complaints that Thames Television's phone lines were jammed for hours and the previously underground world of anti-establishment punk music was brought into the public eye.

The history behind the kicks makes them a definite collector's item, so we're expecting them to be a quick sellout. If you do want to get your hands on a pair, you can shop them this Saturday (11 April) through the Dr. Martens online store.

Each pair is also set to come in special one-off packaging, making them the perfect gift for the music-lover in your life.

The Sex Pistols collaboration joins a bunch of other releases we've seen from Dr. Martens this year, including a dedicated Hello Kitty line. The adorable collection features a range of boots, sandals, socks and more featuring the popular Japanese cat.

Select pieces are still available to shop from Platypus Shoes, SSENSE and the Dr. Martens online store.
