Doom Patrol season 2: Everything you need to know
Doom Patrol is back – and season 2 is just as addictive and weird as the first.
If you're a fan of superhero series, you're probably already familiar with Doom Patrol. Developed by Jeremy Carver of Supernatural fame, the DC show kicked off in 2019 to great reviews and quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with.
The plot follows a group of outcast superheroes made up of Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Elasti-Girl (April Bowlby), Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero) and Negative Man (Matt Bomer). They've all suffered accidents that gave them superhuman abilities but left them damaged or disfigured.
As a result, they reluctantly fight for a world that's rejected them, which makes for some pretty amazing and nuanced television. If you're already caught up on the events of season one, you're likely eager to see more.
When is Doom Patrol season 2 available in Australia?

Doom Patrol season 2 preview
Following the events of season one and the defeat of Mr. Nobody, the Doom Patrol now find themselves mini-sized and stranded on Cliff's toy race car track. Here they must come together to protect the newest member of the family, Caulder's daughter Dorothy, whose powers remain a mysterious but real threat to bringing on the end of the world. A whole lot of craziness ensues.
The second seasons was originally intended to have 10 episodes, but production was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic before the final episode could be completed. As a result, this instalment only features nine episodes, which means that you can blow through them in record time using one of the free trials we've mentioned above. It also means that the season ends with an unintended cliffhanger. You might want to mentally prepare yourself.
Doom Patrol season two has already aired in the US, with critics praising the show for its ability to go darker without sacrificing weirdness. It has a 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes, so we'll be in for a treat. "Season two doesn't miss a beat stepping back into the bizarre, heartfelt adventures of this flawed, dysfunctional psuedo-superfamily," one critic wrote. We're intrigued.
