Divi is a financial-focused blockchain that seeks to accelerate the adoption of digital currencies. The project aims to make the use of cryptocurrencies as simple and easy as possible, therefore, enabling mass adoption. Launched in 2018, Divi was first developed on the Ethereum blockchain. However, in September 2018, the Divi platform moved to its own native blockchain. The native Divi blockchain utilises a Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism, which allows the community to govern operations. Divi has targeted usability and accessibility by building an all-in-one ecosystem. The ecosystem includes a user-focused smart wallet, lottery blocks, crypto banking, multi-coin system, exchange service and an advanced governance system. The Divi blockchain also offers a "one-click" masternode set-up to encourage increased decentralisation. On the Ethereum blockchain, the native token was referred to as DIVX. However, after swapping to a native blockchain 1 ERC-20 DIVX was converted to 100 native DIVI tokens. The DIVI token is now the native cryptocurrency of the Divi blockchain. They are primarily governance tokens that can also be used as digital currency. Holders of the tokens can use them to buy real-world goods and services, and earn staking and masternode rewards. Holders of the tokens can also use them to buy custom names that can be used as wallet addresses.
