Disney+ finally adds three new features missing from launch
Three new features are popping up around the world on Disney+, but what are they?
One of the few complaints that Australian's had when Disney+ launched was the absence of a continue watching feature. The "continue watching" popup is something that we had all become accustomed to on Netflix. Now Disney+ has followed suit with its own new feature "RESUME".
Now it'll be far easier for viewers to pick up from where they left off. In this day and age, when we're so busy that we need to get our streaming fix while on the train, it's essential you aren't chasing up how far into episodes you are.
Disney hasn't made any real noise about the resume feature as a new addition, but it's definitely a pleasant surprise. It'll now be far easier to catch up on your Disney favourites and shows like The Mandalorian from any device. It joins the announcement of 69 new movies and TV shows in December (including 8 X-Men films) as a number of big positives for the service.
Other new Disney+ features
Some users across the world are also suggesting that it isn't just the resume button that has been added. This twitter user has reported that the identical continue watching feature has been migrated onto the website.
Sweet! Continue watching section added! Kudos @disneyplus! Now just waiting if you resolve the hacking issue and the 4:3 aspect ratio on the Simpsons. @DisneyPlusHelp #DisneyPlus pic.twitter.com/elBfqvtHSI

It also sounds like viewers will soon be able to add titles from the Disney+ homepage directly to a watchlist. This would be a great addition to Disney's already easy-to-use interface.
It doesn't sound like much, but being saved from clicking onto a title, adding it to your watchlist and then returning to find you're now on a different section of the site is big news. These missing features was originally one of our main criticisms in our Disney+ review.
If you can't currently find any of these features on the device you get your Disney+ fix from, make sure that the app is up to date. If your app is up to date, then keep an eye out as it should be rolled out across all gadgets very soon.
Across the Pacific in the U.S. Cord Cutters News, has reported the Resume, Restart and Add to Watchlist features are all now available on Roku devices, but not on the Disney+ website yet.
So again, just remain patient as it sounds like a universal update is coming. It's worth noting Disney+ is not available on Roku devices in Australia.
