Beauty product of the week: Dior Backstage foundation

I think I may have just found the Holy Grail of foundation and I'm not coping.

I'm a foundation hoarder. The first step is admitting you have a problem right? Will I ever do something about it? Probably not.

Foundation is that one makeup product that I just can't get enough of. Formulas vary so much from each other and I get a little addicted to seeing how they go. However, I can't say I've really found the one. The one foundation I want my face to spend the rest of my life with, introduce to my parents or go on a honeymoon getaway with. Until now.

Why we love this product

Introducing the Dior Backstage foundation. The affordable makeup line from Dior and I swear I've never been more pleasantly surprised in my life. I received a sample of this product and really didn't give it a lot of thought. I'm more of a full coverage and dewy finish kind of girl whereas this is a sheer to medium buildable foundation that is more on the matte side.

But when I put this stuff on my face, to say I was shocked would be an understatement. Whilst it's a matte finish it still has a glow that also completely blurs the skin. All pore, blemishes and unwanted textures disappear. This foundation is literally like my fairy godmother that bippity boppity boooped my face to flawlessness.

A small amount of this product goes a seriously long way. I've worn it both full coverage and then more on the sheer side and honestly, I enjoy using less of the product more. The natural and luminous finish also works for the body because guess what? It's a body foundation too! Talk about overachieving. The foundation works to reveal the skin's radiance while camouflaging minor imperfections on the décolleté and shoulders, and to be honest, I kind of just want to have a bath in this stuff.

It's also the foundation that Megan Markle wore on her wedding day so this kind of makes me a princess now, too.

Last but definitely not least, this foundation does. Not. Budge. I could go for a run, swim in the Antarctic ocean, watch Marley and Me and ball my eyes out all over again and this foundation would not miss a step. It doesn't oxidise and also has been formulated to have zero flashback. In other words... it's pretty much perfect.

Obviously, this is a high-end brand, so it isn't super cheap. However, for Dior, this product really is quite affordable. Retailing at $70 I completely think it is worth it due to the fact it's the best thing I've ever put on my face. Plus, you also don't need a whole lot of product, so it will last you a long time.
