Dell is now recycling old laptops into gold jewellery pieces you'll actually want to wear!

I don't think I've ever loved a concept more than this one. Technology company, Dell and Nikki Reed have created a line of rings made from used and recycled computer motherboards. Yes, you read that correctly!

Dell approached Nikki Reed, designer and actor, to turn this trash into treasure and by joe, she did. She created dainty golden rings that you'll want to throw out your computer for.

What was completely unknown to us is that computers actually contain a fair amount of silver and gold in them. Using this, Nikki was able to create an entire collection of rings made from a combination of recycled 14 and 18-carat gold and sustainable jewels. Shook.

This collection is called the Bayou with Love collection and encompasses four different styles of rings. There are a two stone, a three stone and a six stone sapphire ring, and a three stone turquoise pink ring that I kind of need right this instant. Each ring is made from sustainably sourced stones and was inspired by the waters of Earth, in special regard to Earth Day.

“Bayou with Love was created to bring greater awareness to the human impact on our planet and show that beautiful items can come from sustainably sourced and recycled materials,” said Nikki Reed, co-founder of Bayou with Love. “By recycling gold that was once considered ‘waste’, Dell and I are working to create an environment where we continuously reuse resources and strive for zero waste.”

So when and where can you buy these amazing rings?

You'll be able to purchase these rings directly from the Bayou website as of 22 April. Prices will start from USD$160-$180, depending on the type of ring you purchase.

Don't sit on it for too long though because these rings are limited edition and there is obviously a limited quantity, so they won't stick around for long!

However, if you want a ring and are also in the market for a new laptop, starting 20 April, Dell will gift a ring with every purchase of the new rose gold and alpine white XPS 13 Laptop.
